The DeGroote Marketing and Communications team manages the school’s official social media accounts.
Do you have a message you think our social media audiences will be interested in? Let us know by submitting this form. Please submit your request at least ten working days ahead if your message is time-sensitive.
Important: Using this form doesn’t guarantee your message will be shared. Our social media team needs to make decisions about what to post based on audience preferences, timing and resources, and the school’s overall content and communication strategy.

Make sure you have permission to use the picture you’ve chosen in this context before you upload it for us.
We run the below accounts for the DeGroote School of Business. Each has a unique audience and requirements for posting. Please take the time to review these descriptions before submitting a request to post on DeGroote channels.
LinkedIn is one of our primary social channels and is our best audience for communicating with alumni, staff, faculty, and other DeGroote community members. It is also used frequently by current MBA students and the most deeply engaged undergraduate students.
We recommend using LinkedIn to highlight success stories for students, alumni, faculty, and researchers, along with general announcements and networking and community events that aim to reach an audience outside the DeGroote community.
LinkedIn accepts images, videos, and PDFs. All posts should be accompanied by at least one piece of media in order to drive better engagement. The following sizes are recommended for LinkedIn:
Instagram is one of our primary social channels and is our best audience for communicating with current, incoming, and prospective students of all levels. It is our main hub for all student communications and our best touch point for student clubs and committees.
We recommend using Instagram for messaging related to student events, resources, and important dates and deadlines students should know. Additionally, the shorter your content is, the better.
Instagram accepts images and videos, either as single posts, stories, or carousels (up to 10 per post). All posts are required to include at least one piece of media in order to post. The following sizes are recommended for Instagram:
TikTok is one of our primary social channels and is our best audience for communicating with current, incoming, and prospective students of all levels. It is still relatively new, so we recommend using bo Instagram and TikTok for video content.
We recommend using TikTok for messaging related to student events, resources, and important dates and deadlines students should be aware of. Additionally, the shorter your content is, the better.
TikTok accepts videos. All posts are required to include at least one video in order to post. The following size is recommended for TikTok:
Facebook is one of our secondary social channels and is typically only used to supplement content posted on our primary channels. Its audience mainly reaches some internal community members, including students and alumni, though this audience is small.
We recommend using Facebook to message people about general announcements or to highlight success stories in the DeGroote community.
Facebook accepts images and videos. All posts should be accompanied by at least one piece of media in order to drive better engagement. The following sizes are accepted on Facebook:
X (Formerly Twitter) is one of our secondary social channels and is typically only used to supplement content posted on our primary channels. Its audience reaches external community members and a broader research audience, though this audience is small.
We recommend using X for messaging related to general announcements or to highlight researchers or success stories in the DeGroote community.

Use this form to submit a social media request. The Digital Team will triage all submissions and assign work that is accepted. Please note, we may not be able to accommodate all timeline requests as the team workload, request scope, and faculty priorities will need to be considered for all requests.
The DeGroote Marketing and Communications team manages the TV screens located within the DeGroote School of Business (DSB), one screen located in Gilmour Hall next to the Office of the Registrar, and the screens located next to the elevators at the Ron Joyce Centre (RJC).
These screens are part of a network of strategic communication tools, and are primarily used for informing the DeGroote community about what’s happening at the school, displaying emergency information, and communicating about strategic priorities. Please submit your request at least 4 working days in advance if your message is time-sensitive.
